Consolidated bits and pieces of posts from test sites (two WordPress, one Blogger). There was an issue regarding export from godaddy free site. Had to backup database and restore them to localhost test site, then export. Had to use phpmyadmin to modify wp_option table so that the localhost wordpress could display posts and comments. Now I can close godaddy site!! Yes!!!!

無料サイトも提供してくれるが、広告用のバナーがついてくる。これが結構うるさい。マークアップで消してしまうことも可能だがそれは厳密なことをいうとＴＯＳ（契約）に違反する。 そこでＷＥＢを徘徊すること２日目にして000Webhostなるサービスを見つけた。 MySQLは2本まで、SSL はさすがについてこないが、PHP と MySQL を試してみるにはちょうどよさそう、ということでお世話になることにした。
レジスタラはgodaddy, Ｗｅｂホスティングは 000Webhost ということで、しばらく様子を見てみることにする。
レジスタラとホストの業者が違う場合（昔はこれが一般的だったらしい）はホストの設定をしたあと、レジスタラのサイトに行って、ドメインネームサーバーのアドレスをホスト側から供給されるURLに変更する必要がある。 面倒なのはdomain name serverというメニューにたどり着くくらいで作業そのもの自体はあっけないほど簡単に終わる
前後するが、このプロバイダーの無料サイトをアクティベートするときに、TOS をよく読んでね、サイトの使い方に寄っては一方的にシャットダウンすることもあるので変な使い方を考えているのなら最初からやめたほうが良いよ、という警告文が出る。 中身を呼んでみると、へんな使い方とは成人向けのコンテンツ（有料サービスにアップグレードするとその限りではないそうな。）などのことだが、「ファイルの格納だけに使った場合」というのもあった。 まあ、突然サイトをシャットダウンされる可能性がゼロではない、ということで、これは無料サイトの宿命か。 バックアップをしっかり取っておけば、ドメイン自体は Godaddy にあるので、他のプロバイダーでの再構築もできる。 このあたりが、独自ドメインを登録しておくことの長所かな？
Exploring the use of WordPress with new host 000webhost.com. This is banner free site, so there is no complication of banner script interfering with WordPress code. However, the overall speed seems a little slow.
Another issue is a lack of SSL. without it, it does not appear importing of blog post from other blog provider does not seem to succeed.

Hey, installed WordPress on Free godaddy site and admin page is broken. Could it be because of godaddy’s banner code?
A quick way to remove godaddy banner from admin page so that I can at least post my blog is to add the following one liner to the end of admin-footer.php

This incomplete HTML tag will confuse browsers and a script that godaddy attaches to the end of the markup will never get executed
Microsoft now has a nice installer called Web installer which, on top of usual microsoft tools and applications related to Web development, let us install PHP tools and other popular tools and appilcation, including Drupal, WordPress, Joomla! etc., and it does not involve installation of Apache server. All are installed under IIS.
Frankly, I am overwhelmed. There is a lot to learn for this HTML, CCS and javaScript only Sunday web developer to grasp the whole new array of tools. It must be a good thing that I am not restricted to aps.net metaphor.

blogger.comからメールが来てftpによるpublishingをやめるとのこと。 これがよくてこのプロバイダーにしたのだが、よくよく考えてみると、テンプレートは普通のhtmlで記述できるのでurlがコムキャストからblogspot.comに変わるだけだった。 というわけで早速移動した。
手間がかかるのがすべてのページのリンクを変更しなければいけないこと。 これがあるからサーバーサイドインクルードかクライエントサイドインクルードを考えなければいけないんだろうなあ。
